3 wrzesień 2010 | No Comments »Ayer domingo en la tarde se realizó una conferencia de prensa en donde el presidente de Screen Gems, Clint Culpepper, presentó el tercer clip de Burlesque, y antes de presentarlo, invitó a los protagonistas al escenario para que lo vieran en conjunto con los miembros de la prensa que estábamos presentes. Al escenario salieron, Christina Aguilera, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell y el director Steven Antin a presenciar un nuevo clip de la cinta.
No puedo revelar a fondo mayor información de la película y de lo que dijeron los protagonistas, pero aquí les tengo algunos datos interesantes que si puedo compartir.
-Christina escribió varios de los temas que interpreta en la película, según ella, todos los que aportó fueron aprobados (La compositora Sia, también la ayudo en este proyecto, al igual que Tricky quienes colaboran también en Bionic)
-Una canción lleva el título de la película “Burlesque” y otra se llama “Express” (Son temas contemporáneos que pueden ir sin problema a la radio)
- No hay duo entre Christina Aguilera y Cher (Christina dijo que no, y cuando le pregunté ¿por qué?, me dijo, “bueno, no sé, eso se lo deberíamos preguntar al director”)
-Christina no ve Glee. (Cuándo le pregunté si veía el exitoso programa televisivo, su respuesta fue muy directa “NO, No soy una chica de televisión, así que no lo veo”)
-Tomó clases de actuación antes de empezar la grabación
-A pesar de bailar muy bien, tuvo que tomar clases de baile. Hay una escena de baile con un paso específico que ella dijo que no podía hacer, pero cuando llegó la doble, la vió un par de veces y le dijo al director, “yo quiero hacerla, tengo que hacerla, por lo que el director accedió y a la semana ella pudo hacer el difícil movimiento”.
-Al preguntarle si no le preocupaba que la película le quitara el protagonismo al nuevo disco, Bionic, la cantante respondió “No me preocupa en lo más mínimo, el proceso creativo de Bionic ya pasó, hice lo que quería hacer y estoy satisfecha, si vende o si las canciones son éxito, eso no me importa ni necesito saberlo, yo cumplí dando el 100% mientras lo hacía y estoy orgullosa de lo que hice. Con Burlesque es otro proceso, que apoyaré hasta el final, pero no para saber si fue un éxito en taquilla o no; eso no es lo que a mi me motiva, lo mío es el proceso de crear, yo soy una artista y cuando termino algo, voy por lo que sigue y no miro a lo pasado”
Creo que ya les he dicho demasiado….Cuando se iba le dije que había disfrutado mucho Bionic y que me gustaban Bionic, You Lost Me y My Girls, y ella me dice “I love My Girls, is one of my favorites, you´re from Panama right? Don´t you like Desnúdate?” y yo le dije, “Oh yes, it´s a very catchy song” y ella mientras caminaba empezó a cantarme el coro del tema mientras que con los otros periodistas salíamos del salón y ella se dirigía a otro grupo que la entrevistaría. Qué más puedo pedir???

imma try to translate the important things (tho there’s nothing really new, but hey there are some fun facts)
Screen gems president Clint Culpepper presented a third clip from the movie, but before he invited kristen, christina, cam and steven to the stage to watch it.
some details (i didn’t translate what we already knew):
-Christina wrote some of the songs she sings in the movie, and according to her all the tracks she presented were accepted (she wrote them with help from sia and tricky)
- One of the songs is titled ‘Burlesque’ (i think spotlight) and the other ‘Express’
-Christina DOES NOT watch GLEE (she’s not a TV person she explained)
-She took acting classes before the shooting of the movie
-Despite that she’s a good dancer, she had to take dance lessons but there was an specific dance move that she couldn’t do cuz it was very difficult, so when the dancer that was going to replace her (for this) arrived, she observed it and said ‘i can do this, i HAVE to do this’ and told the director she wanted to do it, and he accepted…and then the week later she did it
(this one is nice, giving the current sit with bionic)
-When she was asked about Bionic, and what would happen if this movie takes the spot from the album she said ‘I’m not worried about it, the creative process that involved Bionic is over, i did what i wanted to do and i’m satisfied with it, if the album sells or if the songs are a hit, i don’t care and i don’t need to know it, i did my part and i gave 100% while i was doing it, and i’m proud of this work. Burlesque was a different process, i’ll support this project till the end, but not to find out if it was a box office hit or not, that is not what motivates me, the creative process is my thing, i’m an artist and once something is over, i look forward for what’s next, and i don’t look back’
then the guy adds
‘when i was leaving i said to her that i’ve enjoyed Bionic a LOT and that my favourite songs were: YLM, Bionic and My girls’…and she answered me ‘I LOVE my girls, it’s one of my faves’ and then she asked me ‘Are you from Panama right? Don’t you like desnudate?’, and i told her ‘oh yes, it’s very catchy’, and then she left the room with a bunch of people singing the chorus of the song
